Race Report – 2026 Lloyds BMX National Series Round 3 & 4: Glasgow
Scott Beaumont: Lloyds Bank BMX National Series 2026 – Glasgow
Round 3 – 1st
Round 4 – 1st

After a perfect start to his 2026 season in Manchester a few weeks ago, Scott arrived in Glasgow feeling ready to continue stacking points towards the over title.
We arrived at the Glasgow on Friday and what a venue it is. Home to the 2023 BMX World Championships, the track is huge. Big jumps, massive corners and long straights. It is the biggest and best facility in the UK and Scott was excited to be there.
After setting up the team area, there was a short practice session on Friday evening and Scott enjoyed getting to grips with the track. Thankfully the forecast rain stayed away and we were all set for the weekend.

Saturday – Round 3:
Round 3 on Saturday began with a short practice session and then 3 qualifying races. In his qualifying races Scott finished 1st, 1st and 1st which he was very happy with! Continuing his perfect season so far, Scott was on point and looking good.
In the final he chose gate 1. The gate dropped and Scott fired out of the gate to take the early lead. Riding a perfect lap, he was able to take the win, continue his 2026 winning streak and add another perfect score to his overall.

Afterwards he said:
“I made my best start of the day and I’m stoked to take the win. Taking the fastest hit time and lap of the day is the icing on the cake. I’m starving, so looking forward to a shower in our ACE motorhome and some good food before we go again tomorrow.”
As Scott mentioned it was Italian night in the ACE motorhome with various pastas and salads on the menu to prepare for Sunday.

Sunday – Round 4:
Sunday and again it was blue skies and perfect conditions. There was a short practice session before the three qualifying races. Scott was clearly loving the track as he flew round on his practice laps. He came back to the ACE team truck and immediately started his stretching routine to prepare for the mornings qualifiers
He went out for the first race and took another win. He then backed it up with another two wins in his other 2 races to qualify as the number 1 seed for the final.

In the final he went for his favourite gate 1. The gate dropped and Scott made another perfect gate – his fastest of the whole weekend. He took charge of the race and led from start to finish again. Crossing the finish line he was very happy with the race.
“You know, a year ago, I couldn’t have even dreamed about being here. 12 months ago I broke my back and it could have been the end. But to return here to Glasgow and to go unbeaten all weekend with 8 races and 8 wins is just incredible. To make it even better, I am now unbeaten all year – 16 races and 16 wins! I couldn’t have wished for a better start to 2026. Thank you to all our sponsors for their support. We couldn’t do this without you.”

For Scott, his focus will now switch to the mountain bike as 4X ProTour World Series begins in just 3 weeks in Czech Republic. Scott’s focus is to win the overall title in 2026. We look forward to reporting from each round.
