Race Report – 4X ProTour Round 1: Dobrany, Czech Republic

The first round of the 2026 4X ProTour took place at Dobrany Bikepark in Czech Republic on Saturday. With big crowds watching all weekend, this race is certainly here to stay on the 4X ProTour. The track was huge. Big jumps, high speed and a real challenge for all the riders.

Scott arrived at the track in the teams ACE Motorhome and was excited to ride the track on Friday for the first official practice session.

On Friday, riders had 3 hours to get to grips with this amazing track. It took Scott most of the session to really dial in the track and feel ready to battle for the win on Saturday.

The track was huge and a lot to work on to get up to speed and dial the tyre choice in. By the end of the session though, Scott was certainly looking quick and we were focused on a great result on Saturday.

Saturday:

The wind came. When we say wind we mean gale force winds. The conditions were as challenging as it could be before a race is cancelled. Practice was tough as Scott adapted to rolling all the jumps!

Qualifying and the race took place on Saturday, so riders had to be ready for a full day of action. Seeded number 1 into this event, Scott was hunting for a great result to start his season well. Qualifying began at 15.00. The wind had picked up again. He qualified 7th with a poor run. Nearly getting blown off the track, he was happy to have made it down. 

However. We were in the ball park and excited for racing. He was happy and felt good going into racing as the team immediately leapt into action getting the race bike prepared for the racing, whilst Scott relaxed in the team ACE motorhome.

Racing started at 17.00 and went well for Scott winning his early heats and moving through to the quarter finals. Going from gate 1, he made a perfect start but went too tight in turn 1. He slotted into 2nd and held that position to the finish. He was through to the semi finals and everything was looking good. 

Scott with 2nd pick went for gate 2. A good start would be essential. He was clearly in the mood. He made a good start and battled down the first straight. After a bump and a bang Scott was forced into 3rd. He began to chase and reel in the rider in 2nd – the position he needed to make the final. Into the penultimate turn, he made his move, diving inside to take 2nd. The rider on the outside did not brake and unfortunately the riders collided, resulting in both crashing out. Scott was absolutely gutted. Furious. But there was no time to dwell. He needed to get back up to the start for the small final to determine 5th – 8th places and the final stepson the podium.

In the small final, Scott took gate 2 again. The gate dropped and Scott was in a drag race for the lead. Taking the holeshot, he simply checked out. A perfect lap and he took the win by a huge margin. Taking the win and with it 5th position for the day. A solid day and another podium result

In the finish area Scott said: 

“Whilst I am gutted to not make the final, it’s been an incredible day. My speed is better than ever and I am in the hunt for the overall title in 2026. JBC next. We will be ready.”
